Match 28 of the 2024-25 edition of the Big Bash League will be played between Melbourne Stars and Sydney Sixers at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
After a disastrous start to their campaign, the Stars finally got off the mark by emerging victorious in their past couple of games. They would be keen on extending their winning run and eventually climb up the points table.
After winning their first four games while chasing, the Sixers suffered a 50-run loss against Hobart Hurricanes. Their subsequent game was washed out.
