Match no. 4 in the ongoing Global Super League (GSL) 2024 between Hampshire (HANTS) and Lahore Qalandars (LAH) takes place at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on Saturday, November 30.
Lahore Qalandars, led by Carlos Brathwaite, started their campaign with a six-wicket defeat against Guyana Amazon Warriors in the curtain raiser. After dismissing Lahore for 125, the Warriors reached the target with 13 balls to spare. Qalandar’s Tom Abell was the top-scorer in the match as he made 48 off 45 balls, hitting two fours and a six. However, he didn’t receive much support from his fellow batters.
Hampshire will be coming into this contest on the back of a thrilling Super Over win against Rangpur Riders. Hampshire were bowled out for 132 in the first innings before they restricted Rangpur to 132/8. In the powerplay, the Chris Wood-led side chased down a 13-run target with a ball to spare.

Pitch Report
The average first innings score in the three matches played so far has been around 140. Batters will need to grind it out as going for the big hits from the get-go hasn’t been a fruitful ploy. Set batters will have to convert their starts into substantial scores.

The upcoming encounter will be the first time these sides will be facing each other.
