Rishabh Pant is an Indian cricketer known for his aggressive batting and skilled wicket-keeping. Born on October 4, 1997, in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, Pant has become an integral part of the Indian cricket team across all formats due to his explosive batting and impactful performances.
Biography
Pant’s cricket journey began in the cricket academies of Delhi, where he moved to pursue his cricketing career. His professional debut came in the 2015-16 Ranji Trophy, where he played for Delhi. Pant rose to prominence with a blistering hundred in the 2016 U19 World Cup, which paved his way into the Indian Premier League (IPL) and subsequently the Indian national team.
Sporting Achievements
Pant’s international debut was in a T20I against England in 2017. He has since been part of many memorable Indian victories, including the historic Test series win in Australia in 2020-21, where he played match-winning innings at the Gabba. Known for his fearless approach, Pant has several records to his name, including the fastest century in the Ranji Trophy and being one of the youngest Indian wicket-keepers to score a century in Test cricket. His performances in the IPL for Delhi Capitals have also been remarkable, making him one of the most exciting young talents in cricket.
