Roy gained national attention during the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in 2018, where he played a key role in India’s victorious campaign, emerging as the joint highest wicket-taker of the tournament. Following his success at the U-19 level, he has been involved in India’s domestic cricket circuit, playing for Jharkhand, and has also been a part of the Indian Premier League (IPL), representing teams like the Mumbai Indians.
